QZAP Pink StarHi!  Welcome back to the new QZAP.  When we say "new" we really mean it.  In the beginning of December our web server went down.  Unfortunately we didn't have a recent backup of all of our files, so we've spent the past two months rebuilding the site from scratch.  It's been long, and sometimes painful, but in the end it's been a very good experience in some ways.  It's allowed us to fix some of the broken things and add new features that we're very excited about.

First up is the Zine Archive.  We've redone it from scratch using a new gallery system.  You'll be able to browse zines by title and cover image.  We're still organizing it alphabetically by title, but we've done away with most of the subfolders, hopefully making easier to navigate.  Along the way we've eliminated the ability for users to directly upload zines.  We love the idea of it, but after 4 years, only one person was able to get it to work correctly, and mostly it just caused lots of difficulties for the folks who wanted to upload and for those of us at QZAP HQ who were trying to assist in the process.  For now if you have a digital copy of a zine that you want to see in the archive please use the Contact US form to let us know, and we'll arrange for you to email it to us.

As part of the gallery system we're now able to accurately (and randomly) pull zine cover images into the right sidebar.  The "random" zine is truly random, and the "favorite zine" is determined by which zine is most viewed.  One of the other things that got fixed was the "Search" function.  It will now correctly search the archive by keyword, by language, and by city of origin.

Since we're still rebuilding we don't have all of the zines online yet.  We're adding them as fast as we can, so check back often to see what's changed or been added.  Also, if you registered with the site before, we ask that you do so again.  We'll never give away any of your info, and we won't send you junk email, either.  Registered users will be able to add links to the site, and will get the occasional update on what's been happening around QZAP, etc.

That's it for the moment.  Stick around, download some zines, and enjoy yourselves!
