It's been a little quiet here at QZAP the past couple of weeks. We've been busy working on various projects: helping folks do research, beginning to get some of the 800+ queer zines we've got into a better cataloging system, working on our own zines, and getting ready for two events we'll be at in October.
On the 18th, QZAP will be a the Madison Zine Fest in Madison, WI. We'll be accepting queer zine donations, have our fabulous "Zinesters Do It On The Photocopier" t-shirts for sale, and our usual assortment of free queer zines, mini-zines, and propaganda.
The following weekend there is a Queer Zine history exhibition happening in conjunction with this year's NY Art Book Fair, October 24th - 26th, 2008. QZAP's co-founder Christopher Wilde, who advised the exhibition organizers during their planning stage and contributed writing to the catalog, will be there in person that weekend. In addition to the exhibition itself that there will possibly be a zine reading and film screening, but currently there are no event details.
